The HRTO Record

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

No lawyer-client relationship is created by visiting this site, reading it, or contacting us through it. Nothing you submit is treated as privileged or confidential in the legal sense unless and until we have separately confirmed a retainer with you in writing.

We do not act on anything submitted through this site's contact form until we have reviewed it and confirmed, in writing, that we are able to assist. Sending a message does not put us on notice of any deadline, does not stop any limitation period from running, and does not obligate us to respond within any particular time.

What This Site Is

This site is published by Zahara·Hotz Law as public information and advocacy concerning the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. It is not legal advice. Reading it, sharing it, or contacting us about it does not make you a client of the firm.

What We Collect

This site does not use a contact form or any third-party form processor. If you reach out to us, you do so directly by email or telephone, using the contact details listed on this site. Your message goes straight to our own inbox — no third party receives, processes, or stores it on our behalf.

We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or any advertising technology on this site. We do not sell, rent, or share anything you send us with any third party for any purpose.

How We Use What You Send Us

Confidentiality Before a Retainer

Ontario's Rules of Professional Conduct require lawyers to keep information confidential once a solicitor-client relationship exists. That relationship does not exist simply because you sent us a message. Please do not include highly sensitive medical, financial, or otherwise privileged details in an initial message through this form. If your matter involves an active legal deadline, contact a lawyer directly by phone rather than relying on a web form.

Your Choices

Reading this site does not require you to contact us at all. If you choose to reach out, you may do so by email or telephone using the contact details in the site's footer, on whatever terms feel safest to you.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
